“I receive LOTS of referrals for weight loss, often because the doctor has recommended it, or the client has been overweight for much of their lives. Craving Change has allowed me to switch the focus away from weight and focus on WHY the client is eating the way that they do.
I especially LOVE the Personal Motivators worksheet. I use it in the very beginning because it helps identify WHY a client is interested in making eating changes for themselves as opposed to just following their doctor’s advice. The Personal Motivators Worksheet allows me to dig a little deeper into what will motivate them to change an eating behavior versus just their focus on the number on the scale. Their motivators often include reasons like – to keep up with their grandkids, to go on a trip, or to be able to look after their dog (this is the most common).”
