Phyllis Bauldic, from the Dryden Area Family Health Team, is our latest re-certified Craving Change Facilitator. Check out her experience with the Craving Change® program and with a supplemental activity from the Certified Facilitator Resource Library.
I use the concept of “Self-Affirmations” from the Resource Library on a regular basis in my work as a Mental Health Therapist. It’s a tool that has helped individuals to stay focused on believing in themselves and to defeat negative thinking. I plan to continue using this tool by continuing to encourage individuals to develop self affirmation statements about themselves that the find useful.
Craving Change® has helped individuals create more of an awareness so that they can make changes in their lives and manage challenging eating difficulties in a better way. Clients have had “ah ha” moments which has occurred in Craving Change® groups that I have facilitated.
Evaluation forms are completed by participants at the last session of the group program. Outcomes indicate that the strategies are relevant and applicable, participants found the program and the Change Buffet informative, and it has helped them to know they are not alone.
